Problem Definition |
The depots need capability to rapidly prototype and manufacture parts. In addition, it would result in significant advances in our mission readiness.USMC assets are aging rapidly and logistical OEM support is resulting in diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages. |
Proposed Solution |
Provide the USMC depots with a cost-effective technology to rapidly prototype and manufacture parts and materials that are no longer economically supportable by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and reduce costly production and delivery delays for USMC assets. |
Expected Result | Improved capability to remanufacture parts |
Benefits |
Provide depots with advanced manufacturing capabilities to address material shortages. |
